Autumn colours

Hinchingbrooke Country Park is one of my most favourite places to go for a wander as the seasons change. My standard route through the woodland and back along the river usually takes me an hour, and most times that’s enough to calm my mind a little. Mushrooms and toadstools and fungus, oh my!

Found a new little spot to walk the dog at the weekend. It’s a small area of man-made woods and grassland a couple of miles away from me; a lovely little spot that’s well maintained and fairly quiet. Cooper enjoyed himself, which is the most important thing. The second is knowing that when autumn rolls around I think the woodland area is going to be a fantastic place to take my camera and hunt down all the mushrooms and toadstools.…

Woodland walking

As you may know… the UK suffered through a teeny tiny heatwave last week. And by ‘teeny tiny’ I mean an entire week of hellfire and tears. It was awful! After an epic thunderstorm on Friday night, I woke up to find Saturday feeling slightly cooler so I decided to grab my camera and go for a walk.
