Its been over a week since I got back from my trip to Scotland and I’m still miserable about it being over. It was a solo trip for me this time. I flew to Inverness, hired a car and then drove north via the Wester Ross coastal road (did I hear my fellow Game of Thrones fans cheer? Brioche of the yarnish variety

For a while now I’ve had a little checklist of things I’d like to try out when it comes to knitting. Knit a sweater? Check. Knit a stuffed toy? Check! Knit something using two-colour brioche stitch? This past weekend I went to Amsterdam. At last. I say ‘at last’ because Sam and I were actually all booked to go a couple of years ago but he the hotel had double booked and cancelled us. Wouldn’t have been a problem except that it was Queen’s Day weekend and we couldn’t get another hotel room book at such a late date (that we could realistically afford).
