Another year

Well I turned 31 at the weekend. Which feels weird. The actual act of turning 31 one doesn’t bother me (and I had a very nice day of it) but I’m struggling to come to terms with the fact it’s already been a year since my last birthday. A year. A whole year. And I’ve done… nothing. Things have happened, of course. My best friends wedding, my road trip to Scotland (slightly disappointing as it was) and that time I……

Back to Hogwarts

Yep I visited the HP Studio Tour again. But once again I had a valid excuse in the shape of a visiting friend from France (HELLO SKY! *waves* ) and the whole day was very good fun. The earlier half of the day was spent visiting Hatfield House and then trying to avoid getting soaked in the rain, then 5pm rolled around and it was off to Hogwarts.

When I first started knitting I went and bought a lot of patterns without really thinking, including this Voodoo Doll pattern by Susan Claudino. Once I opened up the pattern and saw the whole ‘small diameter knitting’ thing I just panicked and never looked at it again. As you may know… the UK suffered through a teeny tiny heatwave last week. And by ‘teeny tiny’ I mean an entire week of hellfire and tears. It was awful!
