The summer without rain

As we crawl towards mid-July I can honestly say that the summer heat is becoming stifling. We seemed to have moved past the endless bright hot days and into a sluggish heat that make it hard to breath and while I am grateful the day temperature has dropped a little, the humidity levels have crept slowly upwards making the nights more unbearable. Nil points for British homes and all our wonderful insulation.

I know we do like to complain about the weather but let me tell you something… I miss the rain. It’s not because I hate the summer or anything (although I kind of do, but that’s not the point)… it’s just that we’ve not had a spit of rain where I live for going on six weeks. Everything is dying or dead and I’ve forgotten what grass is supposed to look like.
