A weekend in Suffolk

Last weekend I had the pleasure of spending a long weekend in the wilds of Suffolk with my wonderful friend Katharine. We stayed in a cute little chalet found through Airbnb which had it’s own large garden area complete with a big pond some truly humongous fish! We visited Framlingham Castle, Long Melford and Lavenham (I have a few photos from there I’ll share another day), spent one morning at the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, another at Jimmy’s Farm, and got to sit and watch the ocean do it’s thing in Southwold while K drank an epic looking hot chocolate.

Oh and we did lots of yarn hunting and knitting. All in all, a fun and relaxing weekend. I’d like to spend more time around Suffolk in future, it really is a beautiful county.

These last few photos are from the wildlife park area of Jimmy’s farm. I love love loved buying a bag of feed and hand-feeding the ponies, donkeys, goats and sheep. So many lovely sheep!
