I’ve never been big on New Year celebrations. Going out with friends, even to the local pub, can prove too much for me (I can’t handle it) and even hanging out with family can get me stressed. So instead of going to the grandparents with other family, my brother and I stayed at home, watched a horror movie, then stood and watched all the fireworks from an upstairs window with cups of tea in our hands. It was nice.
And then this morning I woke up, made myself another cup of tea and curled up with my new Hellboy book for a while. That is a good start to the new year, I think.
As for resolutions, mine are simple:
- Eat better
- Move more
- Spend less
- Try new things
- Be positive
- Marry Oscar Isaac
All very doable, don’t you think? Except that last one. But then what’s a new years resolution without at least one challenge?
