Back to Hogwarts

Yep I visited the HP Studio Tour again. But once again I had a valid excuse in the shape of a visiting friend from France (HELLO SKY! *waves* ) and the whole day was very good fun. The earlier half of the day was spent visiting Hatfield House and then trying to avoid getting soaked in the rain, then 5pm rolled around and it was off to Hogwarts.

Last time I visited at New Years, everything was decked out for Christmas. This time round I think the Gryffindor students were celebrating winning the house cup. Or maybe just a quidditch match? I’m not really sure.

Now this was a real treat! They’ve opened up a whole new lot with the Hogwarts Express on show! You get to walk through the cabins and there are trolleys laden with luggage scattered around (with a couple sticking out of platform 9¾ ready for photo opportunities). It really is a wonderful addition to the tour.

And once again the scale model of Hogwarts made me cry. I still think it looks better in the snow.

Since my birthday is right around the corner, I was prepared to treat myself in the gift shop. But in the end I only walked away with a train ticket, a Hufflepuff patch to attach on my new bag (GO GO BADGERS!), a tshirt and some sweet goodies. I have no idea why I always buy Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans… I’m always too scared to eat half of them.

This place looks like so much fun! You’ll have to take me. 😛 (Well, not have to.)
